Our mission
is to raise funds that provide financial support to health-related charities in the Ottawa area. Our ultimate goal is to assist people living with life-threatening and or debilitating diseases, to lessen their burden and improve their quality of life.
Through events like the 100 Holes of Hope Golf Marathon, we raise money for and awareness of local health-related charities that advance physical and mental wellness for those in need within our community. In six events, 100 Holes of Hope has raised $320,000 which has been given to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation – Cystic Fibrosis Clinic Patient Care and Treatment Programs and The Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health Research and Care. In 2022, we also included CF Canada as a third benefitting charity.
The Health Charities we are Benefitting
CF Canada and The Ottawa Hospital Foundation
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. It is a progressive and life-shortening disease that primarily impacts the respiratory and digestive systems. There is no cure. Affected persons require life-long specialized treatment and care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists and must follow a strict daily regimen of therapy and treatment. Approximately, one in 25 Canadians carry an abnormal version of the gene responsible for causing cystic fibrosis. Over 4,000 Canadians with cystic fibrosis attend specialized Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Clinics.
