Event Details

100 Holes of Hope is an annual charity golf marathon where participants – or as we like to call them, Golf Warriors – play 100 holes of golf in one day… or at least give it their best shot. Golf Warriors are required to raise money through pledges in order to participate. There will be 36 teams playing on both the Predator and Talon courses at GreyHawk Golf Club in Ottawa. We play ‘Hurry-up Golf’, which includes 3-foot gimme putts. Sign-in starts at 5:45 a.m. and breakfast buffet is from 6:00 a.m. – 6:45 a.m. Golf begins with a shotgun start at 7:15 a.m. and the marathon is over at 6:15 p.m. The evening festivities begin with professional massages, refreshments on the patio and live entertainment. Dinner starts at 8:00 with ackowledgments, awards and prize presentations, event video, guest speaker, the ClubLink Grand Prize Draw and concludes with the cheque presentation to the Royal Ottawa, the Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Senators Foundation.

The three charities we support are the Ottawa Hospital Foundation in support of cystic fibrosis patient care and treatment programs, the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health towards the advancement of treating mental illness, and the Ottawa Senators Foundation’s Game Changers for youth health & well being.

When & Where

The 2017 event will take place Tuesday August 1, 2017 at the exclusive ClubLink course, GreyHawk Golf Club in Ottawa.

Becoming a Golf Warrior (2-person team or 4-person relay team)

As a Golf Warrior, you are not required to pay any fees at the event. Each Golf Warrior is responsible for raising money through pledges. A 2-person team requires a minimum pledge amount of $2,000 and a 4-person relay team requires a minimum pledge amount of $3,000. To register, select the “Become a Golf Warrior” button, make the commitment to raise funds and take on the challenge, sign up and click SUBMIT. It’s that easy! By committing to become a Golf Warrior, you are obligated to raise the minimum amount of pledges required and are responsible for any shortages of funds raised. See our Information Guide for more details.

Our Day

We begin our day very early at 5:45 a.m. with sign-in and breakfast. Shotgun start is at 7:15 a.m. right after a brief review of the rules and group photo. A BBQ lunch will be available near the patio between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. There will be non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on the course throughout the day (alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase). When the marathon is over at 6:15 p.m., everyone assembles at the clubhouse for a well deserved drink, a much needed massage and to enjoy some great live entertainment. Dinner with wine will be served at 8:00 p.m. An event video will be shown after dinner followed by a guest speaker, and to conclude the evening we will present awards, the cheques to our charity foundations and draw the names of our three Grand Prize Golf Package winners.

Round 310:50 am
Round 41:00 pm
Round 53:00 pm
Last 10 holes5:05 pm

In order to play 100 holes in 11 hours, everyone must follow the Pace-of-Play times. There will be a Time Chart posted in each power cart that lets you know which hole you should be playing at any given time. These times are guidelines and will help you manage your time in order to finish by 6:15 pm. If a team can’t keep Pace-of-Play, they must allow the players behind them to play through. It’s not mandatory that everyone play 100 holes, but most see this as a challenge and we need to ensure they have the opportunity to finish in the allowed time. There will be marshalls on the course to ensure everyone is respecting the Pace-of-Play rules.
